The Ecosystem
The Hawaiian tropical rain forest is located in the southern hemisphere, and south of the Tropic of Capricorn.
The Hawaiian tropical rain forest receives at least 8 inches of rain fall per year. The average temperature year round is about 77 degrees F. The island is surround by the Pacific Ocean. The three major abiotic factors in the area are precipitation, sun light and the weather. The precipitation is a big factor because it helps the organisms that live in the rain forest grow. The sunlight is the energy that makes organisms grow in the rain forest, and keeps it warm year round. Lastly, the seasons effect the rain forest. Vegetation builds up most of the forest.
